Treatment for sexually harmful behaviour in young people

Alison is experienced in the provision of assessment and treatment with young people who have used harmful sexual behaviours. Alison's focus is on safety , understanding the impacts of  behaviour, being honest about  behaviours, taking responsibility, ceasing the behaviour, and restitution where appropriate. Through this work, Alison maintains a strong ethical commitment to being victim focused.

This work is not designed to judge or criticize, but rather to move the young person involved back onto a more developmentally normative trajectory and increase safety.

Often the behaviour sits alongside other concerns and problems, so considering the entire picture/context is an important part of the process.
